Andrea Lanahan won her seventh star during the fifth tour stop of the season
at AMF Eastpoint on August 30th and 31st. Andrea qualified 14th on Saturday with
a score of 1,076 and won the "B" Division on Sunday with a score of 704. With a
win-loss record of 5 & 0 and seeded on top, Andrea won her only ladder match.
When asked how winning star number seven compared to the others, she stated
that they're all exciting, and "each is as exciting as the first one". Totally
unaware of her qualifying position, she commented "to tell you the truth, I have
no idea where I qualified on Saturday ... I just look to see if I made the cut".
Andrea would like to thank her husband, Rick, and her children Michele and Ricky
for their support, stating "they are always there for me when I need them". She
would also like to thank the Manager of AMF Eastpoint for hosting the tour, in
hopes that they would consider hosting a tour again next season.
Andrea urges our up-and-coming youth bowlers to simply "keep bowling". Andrea
said, "I started bowling when I was five years old, so it has taken a long time
to get where I am now. It hasn't always been easy, but I kept bowling even if it
was only one night a week." Her years of effort and love of the game have truly
paid off.
Congratulations Andrea
&
Best Wishes for Your Continued Success!
